allow me to introduce…
Tenni
She is 17 and ready to take on the world with her music and cheek. Her original songs tell the stories of her life and imagination, spanning from her hate for misogyny to metaphorical mice sitting at dining tables. You never really know with her, do you?
With an Indie/Rock style, she has been playing music since she was 10 and has now played at the Tablelands Folk Festival, Cairns Eco Fiesta, Cairns Festival, Tanks Arts Centre and multiple other gigs around her community. Located in the small community of Kuranda, she was raised within an incredibly musically creative family, and they continue to make music together today.
She alternates between playing solo and with her band members, Alan Henderson (drums) and Toby Fealy (bass), depending on the venue. The band have played venues such as CPAC, Cairns Show and Elixir Music House. Tenni loves playing with her band, and that is when her songs reach their full potential. In the past she has played with legendary bass player Jochem van der Rijden. Playing solo, Tenni complements her set with a harmonising vocal pedal, giving the extra touch for a full, beautiful sound.
With an original repertoire of over thirty songs, Tenni covers topics she feels passionately about, ranging from the patriarchy, climate change, relationships, and simple everyday annoyances. What she cannot put into words she puts into songs. Her earlier works, Better Than You and Bad Things, are on streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. With influences such as Missy Higgins, Tessa Devine, and Fleetwood Mac, Tenni continues to explore her personal style and sound.
Tenni’s merchandise incorporates her love of visual art into her musical career, as she uses recycled clothing for her painting designs. Each piece is unique and is an integral a part of Tenni’s creativity.
She is currently in the process of creating her home studio and adventuring into recording and mixing, check out her SoundCloud for demos of her most recent music.
Her most recent achievement was opening for Sarah Blasko at the Tanks Arts Centre on March 8th 2025
